December 16th, 2010 - Davos Update!

Davos is Renner. To be there sans Renner was a bummer but her spirit is alive and well in the wonderful Kulm hotel where we stay, the incredible ski trails, and the coffee shop ("Klatsch" which means chatting in Swiss-German) where they give us free brownies just for dropping her name.

Here's a chair with her name on it! I think her name means "Super Athlete" in German and this chair was where the super athletes should sit.

Phil Widmer is always welcome in the fabulous country of Switzerland, with a dad from Zurich he even has a Swiss passport. Truly awesome was to see Phil rock an 18th place result and our rookie Len Valjas score 17th. Phil and I grew up together in the Bow Valley and for a few years he and Devon lived together so this great dude has a very special place in the heart of KershCrawf. Here he is in a blizzard with us.

Devon saw this photo of himself having coffee and said "This is my life. Right here in this photo." Wearing flannel and having a good old coffee chat with Brent McMurtry - Devon is in heaven.

Now I'm home for 3 weeks of Canmore training before going to Liberec and Estonia leaving Canmore January 9th.
