Fast and Female Whistler 2008 was amazing. Held on the Olympic Trails in the Callaghan Valley at the end of March, 100 girls from all over Canada skied, hit jumps, did yoga and dance routines and listened to inspirational speeches from 2 Olympians.

The youngest member of the 2006 Olympic team, Amanda Ammar from Onoway, Alberta gave a hilarious and useful presentation about the importance of Listening to your Body and Kikkan Randall of Anchorage, Alaska thrilled everyone with stories of being the first American woman to win a World Cup ski race. Thank-you to everyone who worked hard to put together our 5th event, especially event director Cathy Harris and her family. In just three years we have already been to:

Canmore, Alberta
Mt St Anne, Quebec
Thunder Bay, Ontario
Whistler, BC

Things are in motion all the time as we continue to look at ways to reach more communities in Canada and find the $ to do it. There is still a lot to do in cross-country but the sky is the limit as I meet more and more like-minded people who will help me turn Fast and Female into a nation-wide wellness program. It has been almost a year now since the implementation of a Board of Directors to help guide the not-for-profit organization. This has been hugely helpful as I am high on ideas and low on organizational skills and time.

In the meantime it's back to training. I am in Whistler, BC for a week following an incredibly fun day at my main sponsor BEST BUY outside Vancouver. A big shout out to all the awesome people I met there and thank-you so much for the great day.
