Victory!
Devon was fantastic today and skied the most relaxed I have ever seen him in my entire life. He was blazing around the 5km loop here today with splits that he was in the top 3 for the first two laps. Then he sped up even more to ratchet up into the lead ahead of Anders Sodegren, 10 time Swedish Champion and Olympic and World Champs medallist, besting him by 6 seconds at the end.

On the final lap our coach, Inge Braten, was so excited he ran beside Devon up a hill, yealling at the top of his lungs for 45 seconds... in Norwegian! Brian who was following close behind at this point in the race actually started laughing at his other-language exuberance and I believe the necessary information regarding Devon's awesome race was conveyed to him. Our wax team was bang on and things have started well for our team with Alex and Nish in 14th and 15th.
On to Beitostolen on Wednesday for some World Cup distance racing there on the weekend.
